What is FITech Network University?

FITech is a network university between eight technical universities in Finland: Aalto University, LUT University, Tampere University, University of Jyväskylä, University of Oulu, University of Turku, University of Vaasa and Åbo Akademi University.

Initially the FITech network was solely focused on serving the competence demands of industrial companies in southwestern Finland. In 2019, FITech operations expanded to adult education, aiming to ease the nationally recognized shortage of professionals in the growing fields of ICT and energy storage. More and more industries are going through some form of a digital transformation, which means more ICT literate people are needed in all areas of society.

The projects of FITech network are funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and will continue on current funding until the end of 2023.
